Golf Instruction

Both Sean Whelan and Sean Cannon provide individual or group lessons all year round at Athenry Golf Club. Their expert golf instruction and experience working with all types of golfers, from beginners to elite golfers makes them a great choice to support you with improving your game.

Looking to improve your game? Why not buy a bundle of lessons over the winter or at any time during the year to improve your game. Group lessons are also available for juniors, beginners or groups of friends. Junior programmes are run throughout the summer and during school holidays (mid-term breaks, Christmas & Easter).

Retail Shop

Sean and his team provide a fully-stocked pro-shop at Athenry Golf Club and also have an online shop , where you can purchase gift vouchers. The shop stocks a wide range of golf equipment, footwear, clothing and accessories from many of the top golfing brands such as Taylormade, Callaway, Cleveland, Mizuno, Titleist, Footjoy, Powakaddy & Motocaddy. Custom Fitting & Club Repairs

With two fully qualified PGA Professionals we offer Custom Fitting and Club Repairs on site. All club fittings take place outdoor on our driving range. The team uses the Mizuno DNA system along with Flightscope . The Mizuno DNA system recommends the top 3 shafts for you based on your swing characteristics from a list of over 50 shafts whilst the Flightscope system tracks key stats about your ball flight such as carry distance, club head speed, ball speed, launch angle, Apex height, etc. A putter fitting service is also available using Capto precision putting technology, its technology giving detailed accurate and reliable putting parameters for complete analysis. This feedback will provide us with the key numbers that will allow us to get the putter that best suits your game.
